The Longines Avigation Big Eye is inspired by a chronograph whose aesthetic is typical of the great age of aviation. True to the spirit of pilots’ watches, this model displays a very readable dial with a focus on the minute counter and impressive push buttons that enable the wearer to handle them while wearing gloves.
Classic stainless steel case with a diameter of 41 mm has matt elements which is polished to a high gloss. The Longines Avigation Big Eye hosts the L688 column wheel with the ETA A08.L01 movement and is exclusively produced for Longines and the semi-bright black dial features Arabic numerals coated with SuperLuminova and marks the small seconds at 9 o’clock, a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock. Larger, the 30 minute counter at 3 o’clock marks the personality of this timepiece and for this reason reason called “BigEye”.Thanks to the bent glass and brown leather strap this watch recalls the elegance of nostalgic vintage model.
