Omega will debut the Seamaster Aqua Terra Ultra Light in January 2020. Designed for sporting comfort, OMEGA’s new Seamaster Aqua Terra “Ultra Light” is the ultimate athlete’s watch. Lightweight, unobtrusive and eye-catching and only weighs 55 grams on its sporty fabric strap.
Omega has used for the first time Titanium in their Calibre 8928 movement , the bridges and main plate made of ceramized titanium. The dark gray material results in less friction between the components for elevated performance. The certified Master Chronometer is approved by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS) and resists magnetic fields of 15,000 gauss. Other details include Master Chronometer certified, 72-hours power reserve and water resistance of 150 meters.
The Dial is made from sandblasted Titanium with stripes in negative relief. Gamma Titanium is used in the case, caseback and crown which helps in making the watch ultralight and strong. All 3 colour variants red, green or blue have matching colour on the aluminium seconds hand, Seamaster logo, quarter hour indexes and strap stitching.
Another first for OMEGA is the telescopic crown, which can be stowed inside the case when not in use. This ergonomic feature means there is no disturbance to the movement of an athlete’s hands during the game.
The Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Ultra Light will be available in three colour versions and each will have a price of $48,600. Read more on OMEGA
