Bell & Ross have taken the Skull based theme to a different level from first namesake themed watch which was the BR 01 “Skull” launched in 2009 to this latest Laughing Skull they have constantly upgraded their designs.The latest BR 01 Laughing Skull stands out from its predecessor, here the Jolly Roger comes to life and opens and closes its jaw in a silent grin when the user winds the watch with the crown.
The animation was only possible with the new in-house calibre BR – CAL.206 which was specially developed for this type of timepiece. The movement is housed in a 46 mm steel case decorated with a Clou de Paris guilloché pattern. (Clou de Paris is a special type of dial guilloche or embossing, resulting in small square knobs. It is also called Paris hobnail or simply hobnail )
In the extension of the 4 bones, the 4 bridges secure the main plate to the case to form a single assembly floating in the center of the watch. Mounted to the watch is a brown alligator strap with a rubber layer and is secured to the wrist by a micro-blasted steel pin buckle.
